2 Dead, 18 Hurt, Others Missing in NYC Building Collapse

Two people are dead, 18 are hurt and others are missing after two buildings collapsed following an apparent explosion triggered by a gas leak that rattled upper Manhattan on Wednesday morning.The two five-story buildings at the northwest corner of 116th Street and Park Avenue in Harlem collapsed around 9:30 a.m., sources tell NBC 4 New York. FDNY says 16 to 20 people are injured, and two people have been killed.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio told reporters at the scene that there are a "number of missing individuals" and every effort would be made to verify their safety and whereabouts.

"From what we know now, the only indication of danger came 15 minutes earlier when a gas leak was reported to ConEd," the mayor said. "The explosion happened before that team arrived."

 

"This is a tragedy of the worst kind, because there was no indication in time to save people," de Blasio said.

Smoke billowed into Central Park and could be seen from miles away in midtown, and New Yorkers said they felt rumbles as far away as 150th Street. Closer to the collapse, groceries were knocked from store shelves and debris floated through the air.

Nba Trades

There was a lot of trades and people signing with new teams. Danny granger went to the clippers. So did Glen "big baby" Davis. Caron butler went the Thunder. Jimmer went to the bulls. Its been pretty crazy in the month of February.

Ben gorden got waived off. He cant even play for a team in the playoffs. Teams in the Nba were trying to make power moves last month we will see if they pay off. Will Evan Turner be effective in work in the pacers syster no one knows or will it mess up the chemistry?

This year will have some exciting basketball being played in the playoffs. The power house teams like the Heat, Clippers, Thunder and the pacers. Also The spurs and the Trailblazers who will win this year.?!!!

The European Union has agreed to consider targeted measures against Russia if Moscow fails to de-escalate rising tensions in Ukraine, a diplomat reportedly said on the sidelines of an emergency meeting Monday.

The diplomat spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity as the EU’s 28 foreign ministers held an emergency meeting to discuss their response to the Ukrainian crisis.

Earlier in the day, Ukraine said Russian forces controlling the disputed peninsula of Crimea demanded that the crew of two Ukrainian warships must surrender or face capture. A Russian Navy commander also ordered that that all Ukrainian forces in the region must surrender by 5 a.m. local time Tuesday or face a real assault the Interfax news agency reported.

 My 4 would have to be Jordan, Kobe, wilt and bill Russell. Jordan and Kobe are obviously the best and most clutch scorers that we ever seen. Wilt and bill because they paved the way for big men and they always put up amazing numbers.

Nba allstar Damien Lillard

Damien Lillard will make allstar history this allstar game. He is the 2nd year player out of Weber State. He plays for the Portland Trailblazers and is there all star point guard. He will be the first person in NBA history to compete in all 5 events. The all star game its self the three point contest dunk contest skills challenge and the rising stars game.

Damien Lillard is six two. He has a very good all around game, but his defense is a little shaky. He is originally from Oakland California. The thing that I like about his game the most is his attitude. He is never to high never to low always approaches the game with a positive mind state. He is a natural born leader.

Damien Lillard broke the rookie record in a single season for most threes by a rookie. Damien Lillard Also was rookie of the year. One the skills challenge last year and hit a barrage of clutch three point shots.

News Legalizing Canabis

They are one step closer to legalizing marijuana. It has now made the ballot for Florida. If it is approved then medical marijuana will be legal to the public.

Well my New England Patriots didn't make it we were so close even though we didn't have our big name players. The two teams that will be facing off is the Broncos and Seahawks. Since legalizing pot in the state of Colorado is now legal for everyone 21 and up. Crime has been down businesses are booming and everyone's happy. Colorado has ran out of pot.
